    Adam,
    If you carry your own insurance card, which I’m sure you do, you don’t have to tell you parents you’re visiting the doctor. If you choose to see a hair transplant surgeon who provides free consultations you will not need to use your insurance.
    I can’t give you an answer about your GP’s willingness to prescribe Proscar. If he’s someone you know well, he just might do it.
