    Hi MJ, The best advice I can give you is to see a qualified dermatologist and make sure you actually have telogen effluvium. Once that's been established, generally a causative factor can be found and eliminated, otherwise the TE will continue. In the meantime, I generally help my patients the best I can by suggesting supplements which supply the essential building blocks for hair, such as Biotin Forte 5mg. You are correct when you say a HT is not an option for treatment of this condition. I wish you well.
