September 16, 2010 One Year and Results Speak For Themselves!
Happy One Year Anniversary!
Well Gents (and Ladies, too),
Today marks the all-important, long-awaited One-Year-Anniversary of my procedure (and that of my twin brother, “Gemini1”-- A Little under 3,200 grafts and 2,800 grafts respectively…)) with Doctor Hasson of Hasson and Wong.
To say the least, it has been an incredible physical and emotional Journey, full of ups and downs, hopes, fears, advances, setbacks, and triumphs: but overall, I think you can see, the results more or less speak for themselves…!
Simply put, an exciting and considerable amount of new hair is definitely growing where there was NONE (and indeed considerable thinning and LOSS) before…!
Despite the early fears, and concerns of lower-yields, etc, there is nothing that can compare to the absolute thrill of seeing, combing, styling and HAVING a good deal of new hair growing where I didn’t previously! Not to sound like a commercial, but it’s the Truth--I feel YEARS younger, more handsome, more confident, and just plain more “Myself!” Both personally and professionally this could not be a greater-gift, and I would certainly be remiss if I didn’t take the time to thank several folks for this truly life-enhancing change…
Firstly, Mike Ferko—for being there for us (for “Gemini1” and I) from the very beginning… He took his time with us, explained everything in precise detail, and answered every question we had in spades. He was the first-contact, and our “go-to” guy for our most pressing (and sometimes neurotic!) concerns, and he never lost his patience, humor, or wit. Without his knowledge, influence and just genuine caring, we might not have even taken that all-important first step!
To the incredible staff and behind-the-scenes folks at Hasson and Wong: Joe, Doug, Candice, and ALL of you—you made us feel so welcomed, valued, and taken-care-of in such a sincere and First-Rate-way from the moment we walked in your doors…
To this amazing (online) community of fellow-and-former hairloss sufferers—your advice, insight, experience, and perspective have made a sometimes harrowing Journey so much “safer,” exciting, and more comfortable. Thank you for “being there” for us, and Very Best To You All as you continue your own Journeys…!
And finally, Dr. Hasson—how do you thank a guy who, despite the limitations and restraints of nervous patients, tight-scalp-laxity and low donor-yield, still manages through sheer skill and artistry to create a result that is incredible and life-altering…? I know I am only one of countless men (and women) whose lives have been positively impacted forever by this amazing physician.
I only hope he knows how much, how sincere, and how deep the gratitude is…
Paul (Gemini1) and I could have made no better decision than having this procedure, and no better choice than Hasson and Wong.
Personally and professionally speaking, we are eternally grateful…
