    Four Months Post-Op 1/16/10

    Well, Gents (and Ladies, too!),

I've reached the four-month mark, and the "cautious-optimism" continues to grow with the hair!

The lighter "wisps" of last month have slowly but steadily continued to thicken and grow in, and for the first time, I'm beginning to feel some beginnings of, (albeit very light), actual "coverage" in the frontal area--nowhere near what I am hoping for, but it is a modest and encouraging start. And as the little hairs continue to slowly pop up, lengthen and thicken, at least I see growing evidence of what, God willing, will be my new frontal hairline!

Like last month, the tenderness of the donor and recipient areas continues to improve drastically, and itchiness has been reduced from a daily bother to an occassional occurence, and then is gone again. The pink "outline" of the recipient area also has continued to fade, and now is a very light-pink--(almost unnoticeable unless you were looking for it!)--though some slightly annoying "bumps" have now appeared--almost like small pimples: I'm hoping these are related to the growing hair, and not merely some sort of scalp irritation--I continue to use the vitamin E oil, though more like every 2-3 days now instead of daily...

I have NOT noticed all that much improvement in the crown-area as a result of the propecia, though I do feel like the QUALITY of my existing hair may be improving overall, and after-all it has only been 4 months on the finesteride, so I think it's definitely far too early to tell on that front... I'll keep you posted...!

I am really looking forward eagerly to these next few months, and have high hopes for accelerated growth, density and progress!
