FUT performed on a 41 year old Caucasian male with:
- No typical Norwood type, rather type Ludwig II
- Donor density of 90 FU/cm2
- Hair diameter of 75-85 microns
Treatment plan:
A Follicular Unit Strip procedure with 3500-4000 follicular units to reconstruct the entire crown area
Performed procedure (September 9, 2010):
A Follicular Unit Strip Transplantation with 3644 FU
- 794 single hair FU (pairing of the single FU)
- 1745 double hair FU
- 980 triple hair FU
- 125 four hair FU
Donor closing in double layer suture technique; Parallel incisions (single, double, triple and four hair units) were made in custom-sized blades technique (~Cutting Edge blades of 0.75mm - 1.05mm); Dense-packing technique with a density of 50-60 FU/cm2.
