Hello, I’ve officially had enough of the "Limestone City" damp basement lifestyle. Every time the snow melts or we get a heavy spring rain, I’m downstairs with a mop and a prayer. I’m pretty sure it’s time to finally install a proper sump pump because my nerves (and my drywall) can’t take it anymore. I’m a bit nervous about someone coming in and just hacking up my concrete floor without knowing what they’re doing. Does anyone have a local recommendation for a crew that actually does a clean job and knows how to handle these tricky Kingston foundations? I need someone reliable who won't charge me an absolute fortune for a basic install.
Help! Basement is turning into a lake every spring

I totally feel your pain! I lived with a "wet" basement for three years before I finally snapped and got a pump installed. It’s honestly the best investment you can make for an older house around here. I ended up using a local team called Super Drain Kingston for the job and they were absolute legends. They didn't just slap a pump in a hole; they actually explained the drainage path and made sure the discharge line was set up so the water wouldn't just seep back in. The guys were super professional and left the basement cleaner than when they arrived. You can find their location and some local reviews here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/K5qHKuJnBfKuAxYa8?g_st=ac Definitely give them a shout before the next big storm hits!
