I am going to make some rum balls and I was wondering if they would keep good till next Friday if I made them on this Friday? I read somewhere that if they sat in the refrigerator they would lose the rum flavor. Anyone know?

Rum balls can generally keep for up to two weeks when stored properly in an airtight container in the refrigerator. However, the longer they are stored, the more the rum flavor may dissipate. Speaking of the rum balls alcohol content, it can vary depending on the recipe and the amount of rum used. Typically, rum balls are made with a combination of crushed cookies or cake crumbs, cocoa powder, sweetened condensed milk, and rum.
If you want to maintain the full rum flavor, you can try adding a bit more rum than the recipe calls for, as the alcohol content will help preserve the flavor. You could also try storing the rum balls in an airtight container in the freezer, which will help retain their flavor for a longer period of time.
In any case, it's important to make sure that your rum balls are stored properly to avoid spoilage. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and any sources of heat or moisture.
