Hi everyone!
I'm a research engineer turned impromptu UXR team of one, so I'm looking for some feedback on a survey I'm looking to send out soon (one of my first ever!). Since I don't have any colleagues to ask, I was hoping I could get some feedback here.
For context, I work at an industrial manufacturing company that has equipment dealerships all across the US. I've heard internal rumors that certain technology products cause our technicians a lot of trouble in the field, leading to more than half of all installations containing some sort of defect or delay. This initial survey is meant to identify which technology products are causing the most issues so that I can further investigate things like standard work written by our engineers or UI issues.
The demographic information I collect has two purposes. The first is to identify which user groups people fall into based on age kroger feedback 50 fuel points survey, job role, and education. The second is a screener question to determine if they are customer-facing and can thus tell us direct experience from working with customers.
Then I go on to ask about familiarity with different technology products. So I'm looking for which products they're familiar with and of those, how often they experience defects during installation. From there, I ask them to go into detail about the defects they've experienced.
The hope is that some respondents will be open to later user interviews where I can ask them more detailed questions about these experiences, especially for them to share particular documents like standard work that might be unclear or confusing to use (I've been trying to search for it internally, but it's been more difficult than expected). For this, I request their email (optional question) so I can follow up.
