    Should I start Minox again??

I tried a while ago, but only for a few weeks. I was sure I was getting sides (mainly pulitations) so I quit. I'm starting to think it was in my head, but I don't even know tbh.

I'm not trying fin thats for sure, but maybe I should try Regaine again? I need something to help me out until better treatments come around, but I rarely see any major results from minox on forums.

What do you guys reckon?? I was thinking of tapering up to it and just applying it once per day.

    Thanks

if you loosing hair around the crown area, I say go for it. Minoxidil works the most around those area.

Yes, but I use it on my temple area, not really successful. I want to drop it but afraid of the sheds

I'm kinda scared of the sheds, the dependency of it and possible sides.

But I'm a sitting duck here, using nothing.

yeah the sheds are terrifying has hell. I don't know bro, I really don't want to give bad advice but if I was in your situation I would taper on minox, once a day.

...not sure if srs...Maybe when some better treatments come out, you can use them to maintain a NW6 or so.

                lol Aames.

anyway, i can understand not wanting to use Fin.

Rogaine will certainly make you shed but its a risk/reward scenario. youre going to have to risk the sheds and deal with it for months to get thicker hair. itll be like watching paint dry and first but should work, as it does for most people.

Ive been on it for 2.5 months and I think its helping out my front scalp/corners area. but then again ive been keeping my hair a little longer to cover up my thinning more effectively, so it could just be that. I have high expectations for rogaine on my front scale/corner area because im on Fin though, and they are apparently synergistic.

if you decide to do it, you gotta be dedicated...cant do it for 4 months and give up...gotta go for years

Useful advice as always Aames...I did not realise that there was a law that you had to be on treatments to participate on this forum...

hey dex, even though your results are not great, id say its not as bad a risk on the temples as say the crown no?? as in im in the same scenario as you but when we apply solely to the temples is isnt in contact with much hair??

I'm only abrasive because I want to see you with thick NW0 hair. You not being on any treatments is just a waste of time and precious hair.

Not using anything? dude you gota change that, I too cant tolerate minox or fin

Heres a list of products to look into:

Keratene = topicals + pills (these are very strong and could easily give you sides) (Look at the thread in experimental section)
Saw palmetto / beta sitosterol capsules (Not an effective long term option but defn better than nothing)
Hair oils for general health (Divine herbal has a nice mix)
                        Niz for anti inflammation

Well that's a not true, I was on amino acids/vitamins for 6+ months, but I stopped them. Was using niz and minox for a small while, and yeah I've been using Devine Herbal Oil since Jan.

Keratene...hmmm seems dodgy to be honest.
SP, well it is basically fin, so what's the point if I don't want to try fin?
And I thought Niz was useless by itself?

Fair enough Aames, but I don't think being abrasive is necessarily the best course of action though.

Mate i have used keratene, that stuff is not dodgy at the least, its powerful, i cannot eat the recommended dosage w/o sides, if you are not convinced order the evaluation pack, try it for a week and then judge,
I may end up dropping it because i am very androgen sensitive but most people arent like me, its a legit product,

having briefly experimented with fin, saw palmetto for around a year and now keratene i can tell you in terms of strength,
                              saw palm<<<<<<keratene<fin

but saw palm is still better than nothing and it wont mess you up, i dont think
