    Can I just use nizoral?

    Hey guys,

sorry if I m "flooding" the forum.

Like I posted in other post, I am not concerned (at least yet) with growing new hair. I just want to keep what I do have. Rogaine, to my knowledge, is to grow new hair, so it might not be best for me. Propecia I think is good, but like all guys, the side effects do worry me a bit (really, I am only scred about PFS or being sterile, I do not really mind a lack of libido-might even welcome it- as long as it last just while I am on it).

I have been reading bout nizoral, but do not know if it would work for what I need. Would this shampoo, if used alone, be enough to stop my hair loss? Or am I just being too optimistic?

Nizoral alone will do sweet FA in all honesty. IF you have MPB then the best and only proven treatment is finasteride or dutersteride. These are DHT blockers.

Some guys do experience sides. I have never and been on it 13 years.

You will mainly only find negativity on the forums surrounding the drug as thats where guys hang out to vent etc.

Many positive responser tend not to hang around on forums.

If you intend to go on the drug yet preparing yourself for side effects rest assured you will get them. The mind is a powerful tool.

Nizoral alone will do next to nothing other than keep your scalp clean. If you over use it ie more than 2/3 times a week it will undoubtedly make your hair shed like crazy.

Agree with everything spex said. Pretty much every topical (except some of the stronger research chems such as RU58841) is little more than a supplement to fin or duta.

No. Nizoral is not a "stand-alone" treatment for hereditary hair loss, especially for males.
