    Tips on buying time?

I want to keep all the hair I have now and not follow in both my brothers footsteps of receding rapidly in probably a year or two`s time to come. Is there something I can start taking now, that isn`t medication, that will postpone the onset? I am talking about something with zero side effects but good practice in order to buy me some time?
Any general lifestyle tips proven to buy time would be helpful. Although, getting plenty of exercise is probably not going to inspire me too much as one of my balding brothers is a fitness trainer. Lol?
