I see you are desperate for an answer so I'll try. As far as know it I think it depends on different things. How long have you been on it for? I think in general it can be anywhere from 6 - 12 months but everybody reacts differently to it. -
Baldasaurus,
If you are compliant with the medication and respond well to it, probably between 12 to 18 months of compliance. It takes a painfully long time to treat hair loss and there is no way to speed up the process.
It is a very good idea to taper up to the full twice a day dose over time though. Start slow like once a day every other day and work up from there.Comment

Good answers so far. defo start on it slow and steady - Also consider the foam version as personally i think is more effective and its a damm site easier to apply.Visit my website: SPEXHAIR

Awesome, thanks for the answers!
I've only been on minoxidil for about a week but i have been on Nizoral 2% shampoo for about 2 weeks also. Would nizoral help to speed up the process at which the hair thickens by chance?Comment

Hi im thinking of starting both fin and minoxidil as i dont think i can withold treatment much longer. My question regarding minox is that i have read it mainly works for the vertex but can it work for the mid and front areas on the hairline? Im an nw3 at the moment. ThanksComment
