Mine has seven small boxes for each day of the week, and is perfect. Every eight days I use the cutter to cut two pills into eight pieces, seven go into the container and one I take then and there.

Theycost me about €4 in total.
Highlander, my HT doctor said it's okay to cut the pills but it's best to try to reduce cutting as much as possible. What he meant by that is don't cut prematurely because you could lose some of the potency. So what I do is just cut 1 pill in half and then in half again and that's good for 2 days. Rinse and repeat every 2 days.
