Have any of you guys use Aloe Vera 100% Gel?

Every time I use this, no hair comes out, and I pour it to my hair like crazy. I use this has a replacement for gel or Gorrila moco and It works well. I know it's meant for your skin but a lot of people use it for their hair. I also read it's not only good for your hair, it can also promote hair growth. Can anyone verify this?
