I've tried something similar, called Nanogen hair fibres. There's Toppik as well, they all do the same thing. Yes, it works as advertised in the video.

Downsides are it doesn't really work for temporal recession, and for the most part it's hiding from your hair loss (i.e. not facing the reality of the situation).

That said, I recommend hair fibres, they're pretty great.
