Rogaine killed more people than Propecia

Although their deaths were not attributed to topical minoxidil therapy, sudden death has been reported in two patients treated with topical minoxidil who had underlying cardiovascular conditions—one patient had undetected Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome and the other patient had untreated hypertension and cardiosclerotic cardiovascular disease

sure, they had a pre-existing condition, but what makes you think that all those people who reported serious side effects from Propecia didn't have a pre-existing condition too?

Propecia does grows back hair but a possible side effect is lycanthropy. I wonder how many people have died as a result of this.

This is a very very good point.

I hope everyone knows I was poking fun at the Propecia hysteria being espoused by a few on the board. I agree about the preexisting condition and commented on this in another thread.

What I think men should do is get a full blood work up before they consider taking Propecia. If you are in poor health a drastic change in your hormonal balance might be bad for you. Another thing they might consider is eating right and exercising, both of which are shown to improve sexual health.

I've personally been on Propecia for a year and have not experience one side effect.
