    Question about Spencer and Joe from Staten Island

    How many times do you think they say the phrase "I appreciate that" in a live Sunday Radio show. I think at least 100 times...lol.

    For example:

    Joe: Spencer, you are the savior of the hair loss community.
    Spencer: Well, hey, .... I appreciate that. And let me tell you Joe, people in the chat rooms love ya.
    Joe: I appreciate that Cat man....Spencer, I love your hair by the way...
    Spencer: I appreciate that....

    Repeat above text 100 times.


    When is ALL this "Appreciation" gona stop?????????????? LOL

          haha somebody finally said it. Yes that's one of the things that make the show unique.

          It's because Joe is very grateful for what spencer does for us hair loss sufferers and he shows his appreciation too many times and spencer can only say I appreciate that.

          I really appreciate what spencer is doing for us.

          would give what's left of my hair for spencer, i appreciate what he does for us that much, though i don't think he needs it .

              So true. Joe is eternally grateful that Spencer has the courage to say what we all feel. I personally feel the same way. It takes big balls to do what Spencer does and I can say with certainly that I would not like to be known as the hair loss guy. Spencer is a terrific guy and I think we all owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude!!!!!!!

                                  That last one never loses it's effect as it's the truth. Spencer only mentions himself as not being a doctor when it is appropriate and he does so sparingly. When Joe says this, it always sounds like it's the first time he's ever said it

                                  That's not a dig or me having a pop at Joe though, as I find it all quite entertaining!

                                      Well, I gotta say... I do really like Spencer and Joe from SI. They make the show so cool. I think Joe is truly a friend of Spencers. Just like Achilles and Patroclus, Batman and Robin, and Robin Hood and Little John, they are eternal brothers who take on the evils of Hair Loss for all TIME!!!!

                                          LOL, you know I always thought Joe did too much complimenting of Spencer when he calls in (not that Spencer isn't a great guy who has helped us all out tremendously, obviously he has). But it's clear that it get's so over the top at times that Spencer gets a little uncomfortable and I think the "I appreciate that" is just a tool he has found to try to prevent the show from being all about him and stay on target about all the other sufferers, treatments, etc. And it's clear that Joe's a really good natured person, it's just kind of comical at times.

                                          For anyone who hasn't seen, or doesn't know what we're talking about, check out the youtube clip here. You can listen from 8:15 (the moment Joe calls in) until 11:15 and Spencer uses the phrase 5 times! Then less that a minute later at about 12:10 Joe goes so far as to tell him he has beautiful teeth for crying out loud and I don't think I have to tell you what the response is from Spencer! LOL!
