I've been using quite a few the last months but not very great results.
I've been looking around and I've heard good reviews about the Bumble & Bumble thickening shampoo and the Thicker fuller hair shampoo so I might give one of them ago; but regardless I would like some recommendations of anything better.Comment

I won't talk brands, I'll only mention ingredients..
Choose a shampoo without SLS.
Some of the good ingredients in a shampoo should include: sage, rosemary, nettle, barley, saw palmetto, lavander, ging seng, tea trea, arginine, caffeine, zinc, vitamin e, grape seeds, olive, green, black or white tea etc.Comment

Fair enough. I haven't tried a bunch because I don't want to put faith in them but I did like Aveeno's Nourish and Volumize. I must admit though that I tend to like Aveeno products in general anyways, so I may be biased.Comment

I'm interested in this topic too. In addition what are the best styling products for hold against wind, e.g. clays, hairspray etc.?
Currently I use Samy Fat Hair range: http://www.superdrug.com/samy/samy-f...3488/&bklist=_
and Muk clay to style: http://www.mukme.com/Comment

"There’s an awful lot of alternative, high priced shampoos now trying to use the “SLS” scare tactic to persuade people to go with their product."Comment

You can probably get some samples of some at a hair salon, depending on how much you wanna spend. I've tried an ungodly amount of products over the years because I have a really sensitive scalp that's very prone to being dry/flaky, and most products I'm actually allergic to.
The two main brands I've settled on are Ovation (that I heard about on satellite radio) and Abba... I also use Loma styling products. All are sulfate free and very gentle, and do a great job adding volume to my hair.
