I bet it's waiting for us out there, somewhere in warehouse between the UFO that crashed near Roswell and Jimmy Hoffa's dead body.

They keep us in the dark, there must be some anti-balding technology in that UFO.

Does this look like a member of a race that possesses anti-balding technology?

If they don't use it, it doesn't have to mean that they don't have it. Besides, they look better without hair !

How is that a cure? Someone took out an ad in a paper to advertise their crappy product to treat hair loss which I'm pretty sure is probably 100x less effective to what we have now. Not a cure.

Your profound grasp of the obvious never ceases to amaze me.

Just goes to show how clueless they were about the matter back then. They thought it was caused by sebum rather than DHT. That's why all this "but they said a cure was 5 years away 20 years ago" talk is so disproportional. Back then they didn't even have an idea on why baldness was occurring let alone how to stop it.

You wanna know the truth about why male pattern baldness hasnt been cured? It has nothing to do with "our current levels of knowledge about the hair follicle and genes" yadda yadda yadda - it's because we're f&*%$£% men - THERE!.. I said it!! WE ARE MEN - and therefore anything of issue to us in terms of health can be side stepped because apparently "we dont care about our health or appearance".

Im getting rather sick and tired of the constant misandry men face about health and their appearance!

It hasn't been cured because billions are made each year on propecia, minoxidil and similar pointless and quasi-proven medical solutions. Its only in the interest of us bald people for the cure to be developed.. sadly, its in no one elses interest.

                            you are so dumb...
Propecia and Minoxidil are made by TWO COMPANIES. Most of the profits from all of the hair treatments go to those TWO COMPANIES.
OTHER COMPANIES are trying to get into this market and it would be in their best interest to come up with a BETTER PRODUCT so that people would start buying their product instead of those other two.
When those companies DO come up with a better product, they will start making billions too....

Why wouldn't other companies want to make money off of hair treatments?? Why!?!?

You're forgetting profit garnered by hair transplantation surgeons, who by all means aim to preserve the current state of affairs in the name of economic self-interest.
