Ok so I am 17 years old and I started rogaine a month ago. The first 2 weeks, I had like no increased shedding, the following 2 weeks, my hair has increased shedding. I know you go through an increased shedding, but why did it take 2 weeks into the treatment to start, should I stick with it for a couple of months??
Question about rogaine, confused

I don't understand why a 17 year old thinks he needs to use Rogaine.
But anyways, the shedding doesn't usually start right away. Did you think it would? If you did, why did you think it would start right away?
Why are you, at 17 years old, using Rogaine? Maybe you have said so before, but I do not recall you saying so.Comment

I believe my hairline is receding and im self conscious about my looks. I thought we went through this, remember, I was considering taking fin. You tried to deter me from it, and I greatly do appreciate all your help, it's people like you on forums that make them a good place to go to with your problems. But I expected the shed to start within the first two weeks because that is what the consensus, to me, seemed to be. I didn't expect it to start after 2 weeks of already being on the treatment.Comment

O.K., I remember you now.
Are you sure you are not simply developing the normal mature male hair line? I'm not sure if it is possible to stop that from happening. You are male. That is what a male hair line looks like.
I'm not sure comparing your experience with those who are much older is going to help you. Since you have chosen to use it, you need to allow reasonable time to determine if it is working. That means at least four to six months. Don't compare yourself to older men. You are not doing yourself any favors when you do that. Like it or not, you are still a child. You are still developing.Comment
