    Age: 17
Hairline: Norwood 1 steadily becoming Norwood 2
    Sex: Very Frequently Now :\
Diet: Great, low gi diet (friends think i'm weird for eating the way I do)
Exercise: Not much at all ever since I was convinced lifting weights accelerated hair loss

    Some things...

First and foremost, you need to exercise. Everyone does. Exercise does not need to be weight lifting - but you do need weight bearing/strength building exercise. It can be other stuff like cycling, skating, calisthenics etc.. Playing video games does not count as exercise.

Before you apply Minoxidil, gently massage your scalp with a natural boars hair brush. Don't brush hard, brush gentle. It should feel calming and relaxing. If it doesn't, you are brushing too hard.

Make sure to use Nizoral shampoo twice per week.

When you wash your hair, don't scrub your scalp with your nails. Gently massage your scalp with the pads of your finger tips. Use a good quality moisturizing conditioner.

When you are towel drying your hair, don't rub vigorously. Gently pat your hair dry. De-tangle your hair slowly and carefully. Never forcefully.

Let us know how you are doing at the six month mark. Yes, it takes a long time to treat thinning hair. It just is what it is.

I was thinking about starting Nizoral, but I'll wait until i'm into Rogaine for a good amount of time so I know what treatment is having what effects. Thanks for all your help Tracy, you've been more help to me than you could imagine
