    "Look Books" for Norwood 7's?

Hello. Glad to have found this place, and hope you're all well.

I have an odd question: I became a Norwood 7 guy at age 42. While I could (somewhat) accept baldness at the time, it's now over 20 years later, and I'm seriously depressed about my looks. (Currently my hair is a dark brown, layered and slightly long "power donut" ending about an inch above where my spine begins. So far, only my neatly trimmed beard is gray/white.)

The issue is that I can't justify a transplant or hair system, as (a) it won't advance my job prospects, since I'm only a few years from retirement, and (b) I'm not dating, as my multi-decade marriage is still wonderful, plus my wife is fine with my hair the way it is. (Note to self: Schedule her an eye exam STAT.)

So now I'm wondering if anything interesting or distinctive can be done with the hair I have left - not just a new cut, but maybe also new single color, highlights, partial perm for texture and/or body, etc.? The trouble is:

    (1) I know excessively long hair looks awful on Norwood 7's, and adding too much side volume would make me Bozo the Clone ...

    (2) ... but neither do I want to shave it all off, hyper-buzzcut it, grow a huge beard to deflect attention from it, or wear a hat. (These are the only options I've seen online.)

    (3) Every single men's "look book" I've ever seen (paper and online) only shows full heads of hair, even in the "Seniors" section.

Does anyone know of any look books, websites, or other sources of example pictures of what I've described? I'm desperate for one last chance to upgrade and enjoy my appearance (even if only a little) before I become nursing-home bait.

    Thanks -- Cueball and Chain
