Bald up top, can a 3,500 hair graft make a good difference

    Hi all,

I am 51 years old. I started losing my hair I would say at 24, and have no hair in the crown area, or basically any hair on top. I usually shave my head but I do have hair around the sides and back. It massively affected my confidence in my 20's and probably early 30's too but eventually one day I decided I'd stop being miserable as I could not do anything about it, and then started shaving my head. Recently I have seen online some amazing results and I decided to look up what looked like very good clinics.

I have just had an appointment at Wimpole Clinic in Harley Street, they have suggested I could have a mixed FUT and FUE procedure which would give me 3,500 hair grafts roughly. They are suggesting a mixed ratio of either 40/60 or 30/70 (back/front).

I have a friend who I would say had a poor transplant and looks like he's losing his hair constantly as it's so thin. This scared me previously.......

Can I ask others experiences, have you had a hair transplant, if so how bald were you and if as extreme as mine I guess did it work and was it worth it. Also others experience on Wimple would be good. I did naturally have a high hairline, and naturally I did have a higher hairline ointment the temple areas too.

    Thanks in advance

    Wayne
