How far back (distance-wise) is a hairline considered severely receding?

This is more of a curiosity question as I could not find much about it online. If you measure your hairline recession from where it originally was to where it is now, what distance is considered far?

For me personally (yes, I used a tape measure), I'm 1 inch receded on my right side and 1.25 inch on my left. If you want to see what my hairline looks like visually, check out my profile. It's an old post, but it hasn't changed since then.

Is it difficult to fill-in this area this size with a hair transplant?

That is a fascinating question! Hairline recession varies from person to person, and what is considered "severe" depends on individual hair types and the extent of the recession. In general, a receding hairline of more than one inch Monkey Mart may be regarded moderate to severe, especially if it begins to damage overall appearance.

Hair transplants frequently depend on donor hair availability and skill. Filling in regions ranging from 1 to 1.5 inches may be possible, but it is advisable to speak with a specialist who can provide tailored recommendations depending on your specific circumstances. Good luck, and thank you for starting this topic!
