Irritation with Minoxidil 10% when taking a shower.

I am currently using Minox 10% twice a day. I put Minox in the morning and leave it for about 1-2 hours, before I go for my shower. However, I have noticed that as soon as I put water on my hair, there is a lot of irritation/itching on the head. I have kept extremely short hair at the moment, in order to maximise the benefit from Minox. The itching does go away, after I dry up my hair, other than some very mild itching that remains through the day.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How long have you been using the 10% Minoxidil? Maybe consider not using it twice a day and only use it at night before bed.

About a week now. However, the irritation only mainly occurs when taking a shower...could it be because 1 - 2 hours are not long enough for it to be properly absorbed and hence, when I take a shower it reacts with water (as absorption goes through the roof?)

I have never heard that before, but that certainly does not mean what you are suggesting is not possible. I do think that starting off with 10% twice a day is a bit aggressive.
