Propecia, saw palmetto and beta sitosterol

Hay guys so i've been on propecia for about 4 yrs now with 9% minoxidal..

I've noticed over the past year that my right temple is starting to recede, first slowly now at quit a rapid rate.. Its a bit weird cause my left side still seems to be fine.. im guessing there's an excess of DHT on the right.. I increased my propecia dosage to one and a half only in the past month but it seems to be having no effect..

Im thinking of taking Saw Palmetto and beta sitosterol in addition to my regime to try and halt the process.. Its really quiet disturbing because the shedding in the right side is quiet aggressive..

I was just wondering if anyone has got any advice on this subject?

Interesting. I've mentioned before that almost every balding male seems to have more aggressive loss on the right side, at least in my experience (the same is true of me).

Anyway,I would consider increasing the dose of finasteride before going an experimental route with sisterol and palmetto. Some people swear that those supplements help, but there's a lot less behind them in terms of evidence - both scientific and anecdotal. Another option is switching to Avodart, which you certainly would want to research beforehand if you haven't yet.

There's also the possibility of using 2% Nizoral shampoo, but hair loss specialists would normally recommend only starting one treatment at a time.
