Hello everyone. I’ve been “thinning” since I would say 19 years old but I’ve noticed that it’s reAlly gotten bad in the past few years. I believe I have diffuse thinning and I was found to have hypothyroid (currently on 100mcg) for about 3 year with no improvement in hair. Should I try treatments or is it too late. Attached are current pics after about 40 days on minoxidil foam 5% once nightly.

Try medications minoxidil and finestiride. I’ve been using it for a few months. Ultimately medications have its limitations and it’s more to maintain the hair you already have. I’m going for a hair transplant in a few months at a reputable clinic in Turkey. I think a transplant is the best solution. -
This was actually my hair 6 months ago.... obviously longer and in different lighting but significantly better density and coverage then recently before I decided to cut it short. Feels like within 3 months it took a drastic change. I was taking mega doses of vitamin B for body acne so maybe that had an effect. I also should get my thyroid bloodwork done to make sure no changes. Just so hard to accept such a change within 3 months. I was actually saying to myself that I really like the way my hair was looking at that pointComment

Definitely see a Doctor first. But have a look at your dad/brothers/uncles. If they’ve lost hair then it’s most likely male pattern baldness. I started losing my hair at the age of 20, and like you within a few months you could see my scalp. Hope you find a solution mate.Comment
