It is with great pleasure that I am introducing the formation of the Bisanga Cole Hair Transplant clinic. The first location will open in Athens, Greece March 27, 2019. Drs. Bisanga, Zontos, and Cole have been working on a physician training program at the University of Patras, Greece in conjunction with FUE Europe for over six months. Many patients are focused on price. This leads patients to clinics offering very low prices in countries that are often not as safe and with fewer government regulations to protect patients. For this reason, Dr. Bisanga and I decided to form a clinic with the express intent to offer price-conscious patients an alternative solution at "low" prices. We will personally supervise the surgeries to make sure patients get the best possible outcomes.

This is huge!!! Top quality doctors with with great reputations offering HT at affordable prices. I've been in the process of choosing a doctor/clinic overseas simply because I refuse to pay 18k here in the US and I look forward to getting the details on this new clinic.
Why was Greece chosen as the location? -
There are two groups of patients. One group can afford higher prices. The other group seeks a reduced cost. The key to cost is the labor market and the cost of living. Low-cost clinics are flourishing in countries such as Turkey and India. The problem with these clinics is the difficulty in locating a clinic in which you can be comfortable with the results. As hair transplant surgeons, we often get consultations from patients who have been to low-cost clinics. Too often the hairlines are not built properly. The donor area is depleted. Even body hair sources such as beard hair are depleted with horrible, disfiguring results. A number of physicians including Dr. Bisanga and I are concerned about the risks involved for patients seeking better pricing, but a limited ability to locate safe clinics. Dr. Bisanga and I decided to do something about this problem, by opening a facility in conjunction with two local dermatologists to provide high-quality results. We also recognize the need to protect patients from overly low, aggressive hairlines that will leave patients disfigured later in life. Dr. Bisanga and I know that we can train teams to help provide ethical, cosmetically acceptable results so we have initiated this process. In time, we plan to open a second location in Milan, Italy. The overall objective is to provide patients seeking more affordable solutions, a wonderful experience and dependable result from the supervision and direction of surgeons with over 20 years of experience and thousands of fantastic results.
The wheels of motion for Greece began in June 2019 when we began discussions with the University of Patras Department of Dermatology to offer a university-based training academy for hair transplant surgery. It became evident that a private clinic in conjunction with the University program was a valuable addition. Thus, Dr. Bisanga and I began discussions with two local dermatologists to provide a private clinic and we began the formal introduction of FUE to these experienced hair transplant surgeons. We now are ready to open the doors March 27 to April 2 to the first group of patients. Going forward, we will eventually be able to offer procedures six days a week.Comment

We will need to evaluate any presumptive patients prior to surgery anyway. We need to know certain things such as current age, the age of hair loss onset, current situation, family history, medications, medical problems, and evaluate photos of you pre-operatively. We are serious about offering patients an alternative solution regardless of the additional effort required on our part.Comment

It looks like the first round of surgery starting March 27 will come in at 2.5 euro per graft. I'm sure happy to be involved in this opportunity. What is that? $2.82 per graft.Comment

This is a 29-year-old Norwood 3V from Sicily, Italy. He had 1922 grafts to the front and 360 grafts in his crown. We used a 0.9 mm punch to harvest his grafts. I recently met him in Washington, DC to discuss his results with him. His procedure was 15 months ago. We also discussed how getting his hair back has changed his life in a very positive way.Comment

Remarkable hair transplant results happen every day at Forhair. Here is the testimonial of one patient who underwent a 3957 graft procedure. We include hair transplant photos, footage of the procedure, and an overall review. This is his story and our handy work. Enjoy!

Our patient came to Dr. Cole's clinic on January 10, 2017, for a 2717-graft FUE (CIT) shaven hair transplant procedure. Our Norwood 3A patient was previously very disappointed by a low-yield procedure he had done by another doctor in Florida. Back in January 2017, prior to having his procedure with Dr. Cole, he wanted to improve the frontal area without lowering his existing hairline. Immediately after his hair transplant procedure with Dr. Cole, he received sonicated PRP (CRP) plus ACell and follicle stem cells. His donor area was treated with 30mg of ACell. In this video, Dr. Cole introduces the patient and describes the FUE process for this particular case. Next, in the video, our patient tells his story and as you can see he is absolutely thrilled with his result at only 7 months.Comment

"I feel that Dr. Cole is excellent...he is the best", That is a common statement from most of Forhair's patients after they get their excellent #hairtransplant results. In this video, the patient had 3000 grafts places in his frontal scalp over a tattoo (SMP). In fact, the dots you see in the before photo are all from the tattoo and this patient is pretty much bald over the top area of the scalp. The patient is excited and looking forward to his second procedure results.Comment

Remarkable hair transplant results happen every day at FORHAIR. Here is the testimonial of one patient who underwent a hair restoration transformation. We include hair transplant photos, footage, and an overall review. This video is his story and our handy work. Losing one’s hair often results in a loss of confidence and depression. The patient describes a tale of how restoring one’s hair changed his life in a very positive way. Of note is that he had shaved his head for 15 years, but with hair restoration, he finally went for his first haircut at a barber shop in these 15 years. He was scared not having a haircut in the past 15 years. When asked how he wanted his hair cut, he didn’t know what to ask for, so he asked for a fade. The barber did not notice that he’d had hair restoration, and commented, “that’s what you had last time.” The patient laughed inside knowing that he’d not had a haircut in the past 15 years. The goal is always to restore hair and make it appear natural. Dr. Cole’s method allows for this even with advanced degrees of hair loss. Enjoy!
When Dr. Cole entered the field of hair restoration surgery, the only option was plugs, mini-grafts, and scalp reductions. All of these procedures left patients looking unnatural with doll’s hair or hair plugs. Dr. Cole realized early on that patients feel better having hair, but nothing is worse than appearing like you have a hair transplant. An effort to create a natural hair transplant that afforded patients with better coverage and a natural appearance was the reason Dr. Cole chose to enter the field of hair transplant surgery. Today, patients can achieve a natural appearing donor and recipient area through the efforts of Dr. Cole. In fact, in 2003, Dr. Cole was the only full-time FUE surgeon outside of Australia, and Dr. Cole has taught most of the physicians in the world either directly or indirectly how to perform FUE. This does not mean that all physicians perform equally great work, but at least today, patients have a much better chance to acquire a wonderful hair restoration transformation across the globe.Comment

Great amalgamation of doctors with vast experience, especially combined and proven track records on both performing and training others so this is truly an exiting venture and will benefit those looking for more affordable options. I know the quality control will be stringent and exhaustive and both have invested into this, not at least their names and reputation, so will be good to see how it develops.Representative for IAHRS Member, Dr. Chris Bisanga
