    5100 grafts FUT Dr Hasson

Hello all - in early August I had FUT surgery with Dr Hasson in Vancouver. I’ve posted photos of the journey so far, as I’m approaching the 5 month mark. So far so good, first few months were a bit tricky due to the large number of grafts and difficulty hiding the work, but in terms of pain etc. It really wasn’t that bad at all. Tightness for the first month but it gradually subsided as did the redness. I’ve attached photos from pre surgery/post surgery to present day, as when I was searching I found there to be a lack of clear timeline photos for somebody in my position. Hopefully this helps those of you out there with your decision either way. Personally I’m glad with choosing to go ahead with the surgery as I was sick of watching things get worse. It was almost as if the fact id even attempted to do something about it was good for my confidence in itself. Anyway - like I say I’ve attached the photos and I’ve tried to be consistent with angles, lighting etc. 3000g to the crown, 2100 to the front. Thanks for reading.Click image for larger version

Very impressive, congrats! May I ask how much it cost? Was it your first HT?

Thanks for your kind words - yes it was my first HT, around the $20,000 mark. I realise that’s not exactly cheap, but due to work etc I wanted to try and get as much done in one go as possible.

Thanks for your reply! Money well spent IMO, they seem like the best around from the research I've done. Their website has some really amazing results. I thought I read somewhere that if the new grafts are put too close together, they're more likely to fail, but somehow these mega sessions work. I am thinking I will go for a consult the next time H & W are in my city. Looking forward to seeing your continuing progress

Yea it was the website/results that sold it to me - I just couldn’t find any other clinics with the consistency of good results. I’m sure there are other equally good surgeons out there, but from what I’d seen/read, they were my no. 1 choice. I will post more photos on this thread as and when. I can only give you my personal opinion but for what is a big decision with all the obvious stress involved, H&W did a great job at making me feel relaxed. I should add that the donor scar is already imperceptible, which is a massive bonus. While on the subject of the scar, if you are travelling from abroad, the airport staff at Vancouver are brilliant - just tell them at security (where you put all your objects through the scanner) that you’ve had surgery, and they will take you to a private room. In my case I had staples from ear to ear, so this was very helpful.

Anyway, like I say that’s just my experience, but personally I’m glad I did it.
