See scalp due to a bad hair cut?

Just recently had a bad haircut where I go for a short hair. Soon after I walk out of the barber, I can see my scalp under the sunlight(yes I know that light can shine on scalp when the light is strong but it looks very uneven) So I was wondering if this is the work of a bad haircut or is it something else.
