Is this balding or just a cowlick? Please help

I really can’t tell if this is just a cowlick or an actual bald spot. It’s been bothering me for like 2 weeks. I’m 18 and everyone has told me I have very thick hair. It’s also worth mentioning my hair in this pic is bed head and I washed it the day prior. Any input helps!
