17 year worried about top of head

Hey, so i am currently 17 years old and for some reason got bored and took a picture of the top of my head, i noticed that my scalp was clearly visible and am wondering if my head is thinning? Any response is appreciated. My hair is about 7-8 inches if that makes a difference.

It does look like it's in the early stages of thinning on top, if it hasn't always been like this I would get it checked. You're very young to take propecia and I would be reluctant to take it in your shoes, but it may be worth giving nizoral/minoxidil a shot, and having a doctor eliminate other causes (e.g. thyroid, stress etc).

According to my mom, my hair has always been fairly thin compared to the rest of my family, but I only noticed this when I started growing my hair. Yeah I probably will go to the dermatologist soon.
