Is this normal? What NW am i?

Thats my hair when combed over, when brushed up it looks like this

see the part where you can slightly see my scalp? is that something i should be concerned about? my hair is very wavy naturally and crumples up into waves when not straightened.

    thank you

my dad is early 50s and no receding hairline and has good hair, diffuse thinning a BIT but thats it.

Mums dad is 70+ and has a full head of hair and my uncles have decent heads of hair.

I do take steroids though so keep that in mind.

I think you have some diffuse thinning but your hairline doesn't appear to be receded so I'd say a NW1.

How old are you? First of all you have a very solid hairline, one that doesn't look as though it's moving for decades yet. Your hair from the pictures you've provided, also looks very thick and dense so I really wouldn't worry about anything at all! As for that tiny spot on your scalp, I'd book an appointment with a doctor or dermatologist. Get them to map your scalp and check for any signs of thinning. They will provide you with the best answer, medical help (if needed) and it will put your mind at rest and prevent you from stressing further about hair loss.

As for the steroids I'd look into that. As far as I know there is a correlation between hair loss and certain types of steroids but this is beyond my knowledge. i'd personally spend some time researching or perhaps ask a friend, someone you know who is also taking them? Again, this is something that you must inform the doctor about.

I agree with the other guys. I would have killed for a hairline like that at 18!
