I have a dermatologist appointment next week just to out me at ease either way, but I'm antsy and looking for some input from some people who have some knowledge on the subject (this forum). I'm just wondering (based on my picture) what you guys think....is this legitimate balding at the crown signifying the early stages of MPB....or is it just a "cowlick" where the hair kind of swirls out....I'm leaning towards cowlick, but I'm also aware that denial is a real thing lol...I've added a picture that I think is sufficient...if it isn't let me know please and thank you!
Please help. Balding or "cowlick".

It's hard to tell for sure. Your skin looks to be fair and your hair dark, and that will mean any thinning will be more pronounced due to the contrast. If you've lost any hair it is only a very minimal amount.
You should take photos at regular intervals to keep tabs on any changes. If it comes to a point that you're certain it is progressing, it might be worth trying out Propecia and/or Rogaine. These treatments can be very effective on the crown area.I am a patient and representative of Dr Rahal
