This is the latest theory on genetics. It's not the same as your siblings (can be different) for baldness. And they don't think it's the X/Y chromosone, but multiple chromosones.

Unfortunately, yes, you probably do have androgen alopecia. The good news is the vertex is the easiest to treat, with medication.

That said, personally I think you should wait a couple of years before Finasteride. For now, use Minoxidil foam. I recommend foam, because you will not get dandruff. Also, some people are allergic to glycerol.

Expect a twelve to sixteen week shedding period. Shedding is a one time thing.

This does look like balding but it can be diet related since you are so young. Have you considered what you eat?
If you have done special diets or work out too much, this can also cause balding/thinning.
