I guess what they say about propecia is true

I have decreased libido
Hardly any desire what so ever when i look at
10/10 girls or porn
And worst of all cannot feel the sensation when i have orgasm.
I masturbate for the sake of it to see if my orgasms have gone back to normal.. not because i feel horny.
My muscles dont tense as hard as they use to ..

The only good side effect ive had is i dont get urges to urinate at night time or middle of night.

Its been 1 month 3 weeks on propecia im going to trail it for 6 months and see if anything improves.

Would you recomend i stop immidiatly or continue using propecia they say sides can go away with use ?

Im not here to tell people not to use propecia as i knew the risks before i started so if anything happens im to blame.

Hi i would replace it with another anti-DHT if possible, but i thought finerstride and rogain are the only FDA apprroved hairloss treatments out there.

My hair is thinning alot rather then receeding, but it does look receeded due to thinning.

yep that shit is TOXIC! do NOT continue as a trial. don't be stupid! their are plenty of ppl that have thought jus like you and have had PERMANENT sexual side effects. come to terms with the fact that it doesn't work for you as it doesn't for millions others and start saving ur money for a HT.

I wish it was tht easy im not even receeding im thinning and i wear a hat everywhere i go due to no confidence imagine when i have NO hair id keep myself lockedup.

The FDA received roughly 300 complaints of persistent sides in over 15 years out of how many hundreds of thousands on both Propecia and proscar?

Sides imo are very common, but acting like a large number of people get persistent sides is just flat out factually incorrect.

I've gotten really nice results again as I've always been a good responder, usually see them at 5-6 months coming in.

As far as sides, my sex drive is down maybe 40% but my erectile function is the same as ever. I'm used to constantly monitoring my loads and erections at first because I was paranoid.

Now that I stop thinking about fin and just focus on the sex with my wife my orgasms are fine. It's impossible to have a good orgasm unless you're actually focused on what is turning you on.

For me I'd rather crave sex half as much and not be bald, but that's just me. I have a feeling we'll have something better in a few years and my sides went away everytime I've quit so I'm staying on it to preserve hair.

I would recommend you talk it out with your doc though.

When you said you had sides, do you also mean erection issues? Like you had weak erections, stopped Propecia, erections improved, you restarted propecia and erections are still okay? Or did you only ever have a problem with sex drive?

Only ever had problems with sex drive. And it resolves when I stop.

My personal opinion is that your sides are pretty minor. Its not that you are having severe sides just not quite as strong of desires, like going from a 18 year old to a 40 year old! I know I am now 40 and you are likely to feel this way after father time works on you for a while! I would suggest that you continue to take propecia for another 3 to 6 months and reevaluate. Try not to think about the sides because sexual side effects are great influenced by your emotions. If you think you can't get it up for instance you won't get it up! If in 6 months you are still having the same sides(many start off with minor sides that fade) then maybe you should consider getting off the drug. This would also go hand in hand if the drug is working for you or not. If its not working at 1 year there is a chance its not going to work and maybe putting up with sides isn't worth it. But if it completely stops or regrows your hair then maybe some minor sides are worth it. Only you can decide. As others have pointed out most of the time sides are stopped shortly after stopping propecia.
