Is this normal? Wet/shampoo hair spiked up under camera flash.

I was taking pictures of my hair when it was wet under strong bathroom light and camera flash. Whenever I spike my hair up and take a birds eye view picture of my hair it looks kind of bad. Is it normal for hair to look like this when wet and spiked up?

Every picture here my hair is wet and spiked, some pictures I still have shampoo in :P

The last picture my hair is wet but I haven't spiked it up and you can only see scalp at my double crown where the hair is spiking up. (Looks normal)

I went to the doctors and he told me that there is no way that I'm thinning from what he can see.

you are definitely thinning my friend. You have a clear MPB pattern forming. You're doctor sounds like an idiot, get a new one. Go see a dermatologist.

Where's the MPB pattern, what does it look like? It's pretty ignorant to call a doctor an idiot.

it's not ignorant my friend, it's just a basic observation. Even with your hair completely dry, you have a definitive bald patch forming in the crown. If a doctor cannot spot that, or even look through you hair to see it's becoming diffuse, then yes, he / she is probably an idiot. lol

Well he's bald himself and a dermatologist. He says I have a double crown and when hair is wet and spiked it will seem like there's less hair when taken with flash on a camera. My hair has been like this for years and I haven't noticed any change, I just find it all interesting especially with these forums :P I haven't taken a picture with my hair completely dry, they're all wet.

And this is my hair as of now. I don't see any thinning personally, but some people probably will lol.

Dry photos looks perfectly fine. Nothing to worry about, apart of people on forums who can make you paranoid.

i have the same similar hair as u , i went to dermo and he asked me if had family history of MPB and i said yes he diagnosed me tht am suffering from MPB he didn't even touch my hair he said it right away , anyway after searching alot i found tht this type of pattern is included in MPB and it is called DPA ( diffuse patterned alopecia).

Idk if urs is too, but do u feel tht ur hair is thinner thn it used to be before?
*and if u can provide pictures under natural light (sun , bright room light) and see if its the same?
*also do u get hairs when u run ur hand through ur hair or while ur spiking it up or even playing with ur hair ??

I have posted pictures under natural light. I don't get any hairs when running my hands through, I never see any on my pillow either, when my hair was long I would sometimes get like 3 strands in my hand from time to time. It doesn't feel any different from when I was a kid. I looked at photos when I was about 6 years old and it looks exactly the same.

your hair looks thin when wet, and normal when dry.

looking at your hair wet is always tough as your hair is clumped together. People's density varies greatly from person to person regardless of MPB. Monitor it when dry and see if anything changes. It's all you can do. Unless you want to go to a derm to make sure then get on meds if necessary.

When it's dry my hair looks quite good and I sometimes see little areas of scalp but I always use my flash on my phone. Whenever I spike my hair up and take a flash photo straight above it just looks so bad and it really makes me so depressed as I don't know if it's diffuse thinning, just fine hair or if that's how most peoples hair will look when under flash and light. Then people on here are telling me I'm balding, my doctors and family are saying it's a load of rubbish and I just don't know what to do.
