Does responding to minox alone indicate that one will respond to fin as well?
Minox and fin

On the other hand if you respond to minoxidil, finasteride removing the scalp DHT should boost minoxidil effectiveness. It definitely boosted minoxidil after being on fin 3 months. I took minoxidil for a year prior to fin with it slowing loss but no regrowth. Once I added fin I noticed cosmetically significant results 3 months later. Enough for family to comment on my hair without knowing I used treatment.
As for my finasteride sides:
Month 1: Watery semen, slight ball ache once a week or so. Tiredness.
Month 2: Watery semen, lower libido. Tiredness. Hair darkening.
Month 3: Same as above. Tiredness gone. Noticed regrowth. Especially crown.
Month 4: All sides, and I do mean ALL sides vanished. Hair looks much healthier.
Month 4.5: No sides. Continued hair improvement, some grey / white hairs on hairline turning back to brown. I think they were minox hairs. -
Not necessarily, but responding to one may indicate your hair is still somewhat recoverable.
