20 years old. Is this Alopecia Areata or MPB ?

    Good Christmas evryone,
Im a 20 year old guy
In October I noticed a coin sized bald patch. I was really stressed about it and I decided to shave my head off.
Its been nearly 2 months since I noticed it. Currently it looks like the bald patch is gone but the area looks bigger and looks like there is less density of hair there, I dont know how to explain but it kinda looks weird. Was it Apolecia Areata or is it AGA ?
( PICTURES ARE ATTACHED UNDER ) Today I took a pic with and without flash.

It looks like Alopecia, especially in the second picture. I had it twice in my life, both times with 2- quarter sized bald circles. It really freaks you out, but they filled in and haven't come back. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it get worse. My dermatologist injected them lightly with steroids ( I think) to speed up the regrowth, it worked.

Looks like Alopecia to me. Usually MPB thinning is blended a bit better and more naturally. The thin spots you have look bare, and I would assume are autoimmune related.

      Definitely go see a dermatologist.

Looks like you have Apolecia Areata (there are two obvious spots in the second picture you have posted). I would recommend to go to the dermatologist immediately. There are a lot of cases where this goes away by itself but the cases where it gets worse and worse are very bad. That is why you should act. Steroid injections are pretty much the standard procedure and usually quite a "cure" for this. However, there are also cases in which it is not so easy to reverse this.

I do not want to scare you off completely but I would not take this easily (others may think that Apolecia Areata is not real hair loss or something) because I know some friends of mine who have to wear wigs...
