UK Media attention on Hair loss. Telegraph and Irish Radio

    Hi guys,

Popular week for hair loss info in the media in the UK which I was fortunate to be featured in. The Journalist did a good job but didn't quote me accurately on a couple of things, but nature of the beast as they need to get the article to hit their own points.

The Bald Truth and IAHRS also got a mention.

    Telegraph Hair loss article

As a result of the newspaper I was invited to speak on RTe2 a national radio show in Ireland.

    Spex interview on RTe2

I hope people find the information of interest and use.

    Regards

Why does the Telegraph article refer to DHT as a female sex hormone? As far as I'm aware this is not the case.

The article was a bit of a mess, but I don't think the media really pays as much attention to details as most people think. It also stated that, The Bald Truth show was the result of Spex's journey, when we all know that he is just on the show once in a while, but I don't think that really matters, just another mistake they made. I think the positives is that they did the story and that they got some stuff right. When people go to Spex's website or The Bald Truth they will get the real information. You would think that a big paper like that would do some fact checking, but that does not look like the case. Well done to Spex though and I think the radio interview was very informative for the average hair loss sufferer who doesn't know about how hair transplants work or about the treatments that really work.

I see the obvious mistakes in the Telegraph article, but it's still very positive that they are taking this issue seriously. I think Spex has a good story and I always enjoy his videos with Spencer. This is all very positive, even with some mistakes.

I think the mistakes in the article are part of the general low quality of online media nowadays. After reading online news for a year or so abroad I now switched back to the good old newspaper and was shocked how I could get so dumb over just one year.

Nice article though. Spex I saw that you also write for the huffington post, right? Will they publish some article of yours soon again?

Looking forward to hearing more then. Most news articles written on the topic are just written by regular journalists and are often inaccurate (like the one you posted about in the thread)...
