I have been slowly losing hair since about the age of 22. I am now 26 and still have a lot of hair. The weird thing is that this Fall, probably about a month ago, I noticed a lot more hair in my comb than usual. I talked with a couple people about it and they said that it was likely seasonal hair shedding. They spoke of that as if it was normal. I can remember one other time where my hair shed like this and it was in October of 2013. The increased shedding back then didn't make a dent in the hair that I had, but my memory is kind of fuzzy and I am not sure if what I am experiencing now is the same as what I experienced back then.
Have any of you experienced increased hair shedding in the Fall months? I am wondering if this is normal, or if all of a sudden my hair loss has suddenly increase dramatically.
I guess that is a second question. If seasonal hair shedding isn't a thing, is it normal for people's hair loss to slowly progress for a number of years and then kick into overdrive all of a sudden?
I'm kind of concerned here. The rate of hair loss I have been experiencing over the last few years was pretty acceptable to me, but if I keep shedding like this, I would not be okay with how quickly my hair would go.
