Is my crown thinning (part 2????) with pics

Hey guys. So basically, a few months ago I posted pictures of my crown and asked the very same question "am I thinning". The responses I got were, "from the pictures, it doesn't look like you are".

It's a few months later now and I'd like to get some more opinions of that's okay. I have some new pics. I'd like to know so I can know whether or not I should begin applying rogaine to this area as well as my hairline.

    Thanks guys.

If you compare the density of the crown to the neighboring areas, where the hair is super thick, to me it does appear to have started thinning a bit. Do you have a history of mpb on your mother's OR father's side? any brothers you can compare it to?

I'm no expert on baldness but your crown looks fairly normal. It doesn't look like there's any thinning but i'm no expert here as i'm wondering about my own problem currently.

Thanks buddy. I appreciate your opinion. It relieves me to know that majority of people are telling me it's not. Good luck with everything regarding your hair.

U r noticing it. That means u have some sort of hair loss in that reason. Consult your doctor and have bulk analysis. By looking at your photos its looks to me u r miniaturizing in the problem area.

I'm not sure if I'm noticing it though, or if I'm just imagining it since I've never paid any attention to it before. Hence the reason I want to get other people's opininions. Damn, that really sucks to hear. You're the first person to tell me that. Thanks for the honesty though!

Yes, but in general the hair on the top of my head is thinner than the sides and back. I'm also on accutane which is known to make hair thinner. I'm currently using rogaine 2% and nizoral 2%. I can't go on fin yet because of my accutane. As for history of balding in my family, I have 1 uncle on my mums side who went bald very young and an uncle on my dads side who went bald very young. The rest of my uncles kept their hair. I'm guessing I got the bad gene.

Yeah man, looks like you're in the beginning stages. Are you receding at all?

you need to take a picture with it wet and combed forward. That's really the only way to tell.

Damn, this really hurts to hear since I'm only 19. Yes, I'm a nw 2.5. I'm currently using rogaine liquid with Nizoral 2%. I can't get on fin yet because I'm currently taking accutane for my acne. But I'm honestly contemplating stopping my accutane treatment to get on fin now. I'd rather have my hair than some minor acne.

I jumped on Dutasteride and my acne cleared right up. My dosing has been 0.5mg MWF. You really have to target DHT if you want a noticeable transformation. Nizoral tried my hair out too, even at the 1% concentration once a week; I ended up dropping it. Give Dut a try at low dosages and drop Accutane

Thanks for the advice man. Why dut? Wouldn't it make more sense to jump on fin first as apposed to going straight to dut?

I am on Finasteride too -- 1.25mg ED. I added the Dut because of the extra DHT inhibition. Plus, I'm young.. 22 at NW2 with some vertex thinning.

Damn! You're taking both? Didn't know you could do that. Sounds like we're the same. I'm NW 2 with very early stages of vertex thinning. Few years younger though, 19. I highly highly doubt my derm would put me on dut. She seemed hesitant to even put me on fin, which sucks. So next time I see her, I'm going to have to do some convincing.
