    Is my hairline receding?

I'm 20, and I think my hairline is receding. Is it MPB or to do with nutrition?

I cant tell if you are receding or not, but if you are most likely it isn't due to your nutrition.

It's very hard to tell with those pictures. Don't you have pictures of you from few years ago and some pictures from now - just compare them. Or ask some people who have known you for a long time. Ask their opinion. I hope that helps.

How can you say that is's most likely not nutritional if you don't even know if it's receding?

I can say that because in the majority of hair loss cases it is not caused by bad nutrition.

Starved homeless people, using drugs and eating junk, several of these got great hair. I have seen several shows showing people with incredibly bad nutrition down to basically just drinking tea and two sandwiches a week with full hair.

Are you worse than this? By all means, eating very very poorly will have an effect. But in most cases, just look on your father and your mother's father/mother's brother do any of these have hair loss?

If both sides got it, you will most certainly get it. If one side got it, and one doesn't, it's still a "high chance" you have inherited the balding genetics.

If no sides got it, you should be safe.

If you can, see a dermatologist with the correct instrumentation, i.e a densitometer to assess miniaturization and HairCHECK for bulk analysis. Then you will know what you have and where you are at.

I'm not sure about the nutrition aspect full spectrum, but I have iron deficiency anemia, and though there is no scientific consensus as yet, it is thought by some in the medical community that iron supplementation could aid hair regrowth. In my case, I have a diagnosed deficiency, so it's safe to supplement (it's something you have to get a diagnosis for before you treat it due to the serious danger of overload).
