At this point I would say the thing that is keeping you down now isn't your hair. I am not saying it doesn't suck because being a NW7 at such a young age has to be beyond tough. But it is what it is. Those are the cards you have been dealt. Now what? Throw in the towel and keep hanging your head, or do what you need to do to gain confidence and improve your life.

    Get some confidence.

You have no confidence because you're not working on a career, you're not working out and boosting your body with endorphins, you're not out playing the field developing relationship experience.

You're just wallowing in your own pity.

Put yourself out there. Get aggressive with life. Gain confidence.

You're already NW7, get over it. Make changes to your life NOW.

No you're not. I was exactly in the same boat as you at your age and I felt the same way. My life was over. And I couldn't give advices to guys that were already bald at the time because I just didn't know anything about being bald.

Oh I've grown up, and wait until you reach NW4, you will grow up too. Experiencing hair loss at a young age truly builds character. I like to think you come out of it stronger.

Fred970, dont know if you point of posting is to criticize or to help op. Yeah a nw2 with visible vertex thinning and diffuse thinner a with the whole mpb pattern going on. How exactly is someone suppose to feel normal when surrounded by nw1 thicks in his youth? One who hasn't really lived life yet and starting? Not saying that its not common with mpb people but instead im stating that its still difficult. So im not capable of giving advice that helped? At the end of the day, all the advice hes going to receive is similar. Pfft grow up.

FlightTL started a thread a while ago where he mentioned girls smiling at him when he was out wearing a hat. Now although a smile alone doesn't mean much, at the very least I don't think he would have gotten even smiles if he was as hideous as he thinks he is. I will not deny that being a NW7 has an affect on your looks, but I don't think that alone is enough to turn you from an attractive guy to dog meat. If girls are giving you attention when wearing a hat, i think it is safe to say that with the right "style" you won't look as bad as you think.

Balding + In highschool = Probably NW2 = In no position to tell a NW7 how she should feel.

    Are my calculations correct?

Flight i know it sucks, however you need to forget about it and man up. And take it in a friendly way, im balding and im still in highschool but ive matured and changed the way i view life. You seem almost depressed like i was. You just have to be strong. Consider a job far from everyone you know for a bit. Let you refresh yourself.

Hard to believe by reading his posts that he's an 29 years old guy/man and not some pimply 16 year old kid. Seriously Flight, grow some character.

Hey what's up FlightTL, long time since we last heard from you! Another classic thread.

Dude, stop crapping on yourself. I am sure you are not as bad looking as you think. Work on improving what you can change: physique, style, finances, etc. Worry less about the stuff you cant.

I just took a second look at this and realized that you haven't worked in 5 years so maybe all those suggestions are not really options for you. So here's my advice, I work in the oil and gas industry and there are TONS of bald/balding dudes I work with who make ballin cash (myself included on the balding). I would highly suggest you pursue a job in the oil and gas industry. If you have no relevant experience just apply at every drilling contractor possible to be a roughneck and eventually you will get a job. You may have to move to North Dakota, Texas, Wyoming, Oklahoma, etc. but I personally love my job and couldn't see myself doing anything else. You have to work your a$$ off but in no time at all you will easily have the money to do any of the things I mentioned in my last post to improve your appearance. Just a suggestion.
