Help with getting Finasteride in Ireland!

    Hey guys!

Long time reader and first time poster.
Basically for the last 1-2 years I've been getting a bit worried about hair loss.
I seem to be progressing quite slow and at 22 I'm about a NW1.5 - 2 so things as of now haven't gone too far.
My father is the exact same at 55 so I'm hoping I'll suffer the same fate!

Still I'm getting quite worried and at this stage I would like to give Fin a try.

    Now to the problem!
Ireland STILL hasn't licensed Finasteride for the treatment of hair loss and it's near impossible to come by as such.
I can go to one of the only hair clinics however the consultation charges are huge (almost $300) and you need to repeat visit quite often to maintain the prescription and at that you can only get the 5MG pills.

I'm trying to find an online pharmacy that will deliver to Ireland.
I don't mind whether it's Propecia, Finpecia, Finax etc but I would like to get the 1MG pills as I'm going to try out the 0.5MG dose.
I think it's time to give it a shot and see can I thicken up and maintain!

ANY help would be really appreciated!

Prevention is the key here, jump on it. It is easier to keep what you have or slow down the loss than it is to grow new. You should be able to find an online pharmacy who will ship to Ireland. If not, do you have any friends in the UK? Have it shipped to them first and they can forward to you. I have a friend who did that with no trouble, just a little time consuming.

I got my recent private finasteride prescription from the UK GP Dr Steven Edgar who was very helpful and prompt. Email him as he might be able to help you. If he can't then possible email Spex as he might know a solution or possibly go to Boots.

Hope this helps as Finasteride has worked very well for me and I can only imagine it is frustrating not being able to get hold of it.

Is it generic Finasteride you ordered? Is it easy to cut up? How much did it cost you all in all?

Proscar and I find it easy to cut with a knife although I use a tablet cutter normally. Cost me for 14 month supply £220 and got delivered special delivery 2 days after I paid. Excellent service and the dr corresponded with me throughout. He might not be the absolute cheapest source but legitimate and very professional.

Sounds good. How long have you been on it? Do you take one mg daily?

I have been taking it several years now with very positive effect on my hair and no side effects.

If you are wanting generic Finasteride, from memory it is £180 for 14 months supply from Dr Edgar.

Cheers, I imagine his generic would be Cipla or something? Hear stories about non legitimate Finasteride, I imagine as a UK Dr he'd supply legit drugs.

How about one of the other EU countries? I'm pretty sure someone in Poland where have it to you quickly. There's a site called health medical care . biz, you can order there and they offer free viagra pills and cialis.

IMHO, I would use a gift card first, the ones with the visa logo on them and run a small test on some of these sites to see if they deliver the goods.

And you can take that free Cialis with your future after few shots of Bushmills.

                    JCM,

I asked Dr Edgar a while ago which generic version gets prescribed as i've been asked the question several times.

It's 'actavis' finasteride not cilpa as the tablets are same size as proscar ones on all accounts, therefore easier to cut. Dr Edgar is a registered GP in the UK and prescribes the finasteride which is processed through UK pharmacy so 100% legitimate.

                    Regards

Propecia (Finasteride) "Transition" Theory Disclaimer : I am not a Doctor. This is only my opinion based on experience. Take it or leave it. However - A potential tip to help avoid initial side effects from taking Finasteride as i have suggested to several guys and it seems to have really helped them. I made this

My insurance doesn't cover the name brand. I've only ever been on the generic, Fin, and for me it works really well. I wonder how expensive the brand is as opposed to the generic.
