    putting product in hair

    Hi,
I'd appreciate feedback please. I am using Minoxidil foam twice daily, in crown, and across the hairline. My stylist has been putting a small amount of hair product in my hair when it's cut, and I recently started using the product every day.
    I am wondering,
    1) is it OK to use product. Does it affect the health of my scalp or effect hair loss?
    2) is there any problem with it interacting with Minoxidil?
    3) if not, does it matter what order I apply both the product and Minoxidal?

Thanks for your help. Look forward to any replies.

forgot to add to my thread...

Sorry, I forgot to provide some details about the product I use in my hair...

it's a paste that provides more texture and body...I rub a bit into my fingers and lightly mush it into my hair.

    Again, thanks for any replies.

      Hi Lorne,
I don't think any of that stuff will affect your hair in any way. From what I‘ve learned you would have to damage the hair follicle itself to cause any harm, so things like burning chemicals from bleaching might effect the growth but not styling products.

I used to use to use gel all the time until I was told that that’s why I was losing my hair by a hairstylist of all people Ridiculous! There are so many myths about hair loss it drives me crazy.

As long as you wash the products out regularly and do not use excessive amounts you probably are going to be alright. Most things done in moderation do not cause much harm. You may even try to use the Rogaine only once a day at night and see if there is any difference. If you can get the same result using less medication it is always better.
