How long did you shed when you first started on propecia?

I started back on propecia almost 3 months ago and it looks like i am still shedding a pretty good amount of hair and honestly crown looks worse.

I am taking a supplement (dhea) that some say speeds up mpb, at least in women and wondering if I should drop that or increase my propecia dose?

Or were any of you still shedding around the 3 month mark? Thanks.

Why are you taking supplemental DHEA?

My mother always stayed up on the latest health treads and that was one of them. Now that I am older I figured I would give it a try and honestly it does seem to give me a slight energy boost or rather I don't seem to get tired in the afternoon like i used to. Do you think it could counter propecia?

I was on propecia a long time ago and I remember having plenty of sheds but I don't remember it ever really looking worse. I could be worrying over nothing but figured I would ask.

The only shed that I have had happened during the first month on minox. I didn't notice a shed when I started fin. I have been on fin for almost 3 months. I don't really have much to shed though, so who knows.

My situation is pretty close to this.

On finasteride for almost 7 months now and I don't know that there was every a stark diff in shedding. I think at a few points I was just being hyper-critical of the hairs shed and stressing that I was still losing any hair.

This first month of minox has been insane though. 5+ hairs per pull-test.

How fast is your loss? The first time I was on it, my mpb was very fast, yet this time it much slower, so i would think I would shed less not more compared to the first time. But of course I was also much younger..maybe that has something to do with it.

May be worrying for nothing...I am giving it a year to give it a fair chance.

My hair loss wasn't too bad, just an over sized cowlick before starting finasteride. Now its gotten more diffuse in the crown area. and im feeling less dense all over, shedding about 40-50 hairs per day definitely.

Well that might be a good sign. I know shedding can be a good sign. I know it certainly happened the first time I went on propecia and I ended up with really good results. I just don't remember it going on for so long without taking a break and also I keep finding a lot of hair in the bathroom.

And I still may be worrying for nothing but for years relatives have told me I was balding just like my mother's brother. The same pattern at the same time. He progressed really slowly until he got to the age I am now at.
For whatever reason, his mpb speed up a lot and He began to rapidly progress from about a 4 to a 6 in about 9-10 years. I would certainly think that Propecia should be able to stop this from happening to me, but I may need to go up to the normal dosage.

I don't know why I am so worried about this , but I am.
