My treatment log (Minox 5%) (16 years old)

So a few of you might have seen some of my other posts, but if you haven't basically i am 16 and have had hairline recession for about a year. As of two days ago I'm using 5% Minoxidil to try and slow/stop and regrow a bit of my hairline until I'm old enough to get on fin or dut.

I'm currently using Rogaine liquid but I'm going to order a year supply of Kirkland foam when this one runs out. I'm two days into treatment and nothing to report yet, no shedding, no sides and no new hair but obviously as I'm only two days in i can't expect that yet.

One month into treatment, my hairline seems to have gotten a bit thinner, but I take this as a good sign since i find alot hairs in the sink after combing etc, which i never did before. which probably means this is my initial shed. The sides i initially got (getting slightly lightheaded and a slight headache) after application of minox have disappeared. going to start dermarolling with a 2mm roller to get better results. Might post some pictures tomorrow

Started using a 2.0mm dermaroller and gonna do that once a week. i can see tiny hairs along where my hairline has receded, which makes me excited. maybe those will come back and my temporal peaks have started coming back a bit

Good luck, dude. I went through steady shedding for the first few months of fin, then I added minox and my hair was falling out like crazy. Couple months in and I can pull test my hair all day and not lose anything.

                      Keep at it.

My hair looks as bad as yours but I'm 17 going on 18.

I started taking Finasteride but have some Rogaine foam in the bathroom that I never touch, for fear of shedding.

Keep updating! I really want to see how Minoxidil works for you.

I went to see a dermatologist who prescribed me 5mg Finasteride to cut up into 1/4ths.

I just told her I was losing hair, she looked and saw my temple recession and wrote up the script.

Why don't you do the same? You can always order them online. Although if you did that, I would play it safe and go with brand name Proscar since you don't know where the stuffs coming from.
