Early greying of hair is a genetic situation that in the past could only be altered with hair coloring/dying. More recently, with Low Level Laser Therapy and the introduction of PRP into the field of hair restoration we may have a few other treatment options for this condition. I am not say that these two newer treatments that people will no longer have to dye the hair to get rid of the grey. I have seen patients who had a reduction of grey hair with use of the laser and others who hair color was unaffected by the laser. I have also recently heard about a few cases of patients who had the PRP scalp treatment and had a reduction in the amount of grey hair.
