Someone answer this! Does switching to proscar cause major shed??

hi im on proscar for the last 3 months since changing from propecia, going through MASSIVE SHED!i can see my hair thinning faster at front whereas with prropecia it was stable!so pissed off right now.....Anyone have experience,advice or solution?

Yeah but I have this user name on five different hair loss forums with my HTs on, so it is mine.

Been there done that. Hang in and report back in 12 months. Nothing else we can do for you I'm afraid. I was shedding at 8 months and worried it wasn't working for me. Thankfully it all worked out in the end - as it does for over 90% of people.

yes but i was on propecia for 18 months and no changei changed to proscar only last 3-4 months because of$.....people said no diff between propoecia and proscar...so your saying stick with proscar ????

ah about 18 monthe, switched to proscar with last 4 months.should i revert back to propecia?

I switched from propecia to generic finasteride which caused a shed but it's temporary.

I had my doubts about generic too but its cheaper and just as effective. I was on propecia for about 2 years and then switched to generic, shed about a month, then everything was good again.
